What to Expect

                                                               Welcome!

I’m not bendy! Can I still do yoga?

Yes!   Yoga is NOT about being “bendy”. It is about learning to live authentically. Your practice should always meet you where you are, as you are. It should be FUN!

Without exception, everyone has limitations. When we work within our own limits, without trying  to achieve any particular goal,  we have fun!… & some cool changes start to show up in our lives.

You are, and always will be, your own best teacher.

What happens in a yoga class?

Each class is lead by a certified Yoga Instructor. Classes typically begin by inviting you to check out of your busy day, and reconnect with your breath. By connecting movement and breath we can increase energy levels, reduce stress, and leave you feeling centered, balanced and calm. Classes typically end with a relaxation phase (AKA Shavasana). The relaxation phase is the most important part of the class. It provides your body the space needed to absorb the benefits of the practice.

What do I need to bring to the class?

  • All you need for the class is a yoga mat, comfortable clothes that allow you to move, & a desire to simply have fun!
  • You might want to bring along a water bottle, a blanket, or beach towel.
  • It is generally a good idea to avoid eating within 1.5 hours of the class.

Etiquette:

  • Please arrive 10 min prior to class start in order to set up. (Arriving late for class can be very disruptive.)
  • Please silence all electronics before the class begins.
  • Please remain until the end of class. (Yoga classes include a relaxation phase toward the end of class. Leaving early can be very disruptive.)
  • Be respectful to other participants. (Together, we create an inviting, non-judgmental environment for everyone to enjoy.)

Authentically you.
